New EP update
NEW EP UPDATE
(handed by EMI)
Forget everything below, we might see the songs maybe in the near or far future, but most of the won't be added to the EP. (Curious what happens with it)..... Thanks to EMI-records I got the track-list for the EP which will probably be released on April the 28th. Here it is;
Gospel Oak EP
1. This is To Mother You
2. I Am Enough For Myself
3. Petit Poulet
4. 4 My Love
All lyrics are linked to the lyrics that belong to the songs on this EP, the old ones are still available through the list of lyrics.
NEW SONGS
(handed by myself)
After a search of hours on the internet I've found a music copyright page called BMI where you can search on artist/writer/song name for copyrighted material. As a Prince-fan I know these sites are highly recomanded to search for still to release or even never released song. But I never had the idea to search on Sinéad stupid me..... But now I did and I found some interesting titles;
Take My Hand
About this song BMI mentions Sinéad is officially one of the co-writers amongst 7 others. So it's official now!
War
Also this song is mentioned as being performed by Sinéad. IMHO this just refers to her live performance during the Bob Dylan 25th Aniversary Concert
Everything Comes From You
A song written by Sinéad O'Connor and Hirota Joji. No other details (year/performer/album)are mentioned, but after searching on other sites I found out Hirota is a Japanese percusionist (Japanese
Drums) who probably lives in the UK. Other information might follow.
Someone's Baby
A song written (co-written ???) by Sinéad. According to the title I think it's an early title for the song she did with Jah Wobble called "Josey Walsh"
Besides these 3 titles I found all Sinéad's earlier album tracks, and tracks she did on other projects (and where co-written by her) But the most interesting titles I found where all titles with pretty the same high catalogue numbers. So they might be the tracks for her new album, though I miss a title like "This Is To Mother You". All songs are written by Sinéad O'Connor and the publisher is EMI BLACKWOOD INC. Again no dates, album titles or performers are given, but they are for sure written by Sinéad. Here they are;
All I Want
Calling Me Princess
Children Of Lir
Drowning Again
Married Man
Mother Ireland
Rescue Me
Seal In Your Heart
Sit Easy Beside Me
Some Disease
Speak And Spell
Stop Sending Me Love Songs
Last Saterday Night
Israel
These 12 song may not all be included on the album (maybe even none of them) and it may also include some songs which wheren't written by her, and so aren't in this list. That may explain why "This Is To Mother You" is not included. (If it ain't written by her)
MANDINKA ON CD-VIDEO
(handed by myself)
Infact it's old news but thusfar no-one mentioned it before; A company called OmniMedia released back in 1995 a CD-Video containing the video-clip for Mandinka. The video can be viewed with a CD-I player or on a computer. Besides Sinéad there are 9 other songs by other artists. You need a real fast computer or a MPEG-decoder-card to watch it smoothly but even with a 486 you can see it. All the software you need comes with it, though with the shareware version of Xing-Mpeg player it's a lot quicker.
