SINÉAD/BONO DUET

(handed by; Ju Nguan Tan)

U2 Parks Its Heart In San Francisco

If you live in San Francisco, keep your eyes open for the members of U2 prowling around the crooked streets. The band is using the city as a "hub" while they perform in the western portion of our great nation. Unbelievable as it may seem, Bono has also reportedly committed to singing a duet with his countrywoman Sinead O'Connor for the upcoming Wim Wenders film, The End Of Violence. We do know that Bono is pals with Wenders - having penned music for Until The End Of The World and Faraway, So Close - but we don't know when he's going to have the time for this little project, since U2 is just embarking on a 14-month tour, unless he does a "Frank Sinatra" and records the song on the road and lets the engineers back in London splice it in with Sinead's parts.

Addition; Bono will record it during the pop mart tour and Sinead in the UK

As for O'Connor, we've heard she's frantically trying to book some summer dates after Chrissie Hynde canceled her portion of their co-headlining tour earlier this week.

THE GOSPEL OAK INTERVIEW

(handed by Eduard Verheyen and YKC)

Last days and coming days Eduard Verheyen with help of YKC typed out a interview which Lucy O'Brien had with Sinead on the 10th of April 1997. The full interview is too long to add here (16 pages) According to Eduard this interview seems to be available on cd (probably a promotional release), and if someone does have this cd or knows to find one I am very interested in trading or buying one or more copies. (mail me)

Chrysalis/EMI Records will release a new five track EP from Sinéad O'Connor entitled Gospel Oak on June 3rd, 1997.

All five songs are written by Sinéad and produced by John Reynolds. It will be available on cd and cassette formats, both of which feature the following tracks: "This Is To Mother You", "I am Enough For Myself", "Petit Poulet", "4 My Love", and a fifth song that will be available in the US only "This Is a Rebel Song". Amongst the musicians who contributed to the tracks are Jah Wobble, Davy Spillane and Ian Stanley.
