Emma's Song Update

According to East West records in London "Summer's End" will not be released in the UK/Europe as a single however EastWest has promised to call Atlantic Records in NYC and ask about the disappearance of "Emma's Song" from the Soundtrack and it's possible re-emergence sometime in the future. Sinead did indeed write Emma's Song for the soundtrack but decided, last minute, to save the song for her new album. Which means, of course, that we'll definitely get to hear it - albeit belatedly ;) Re Summer's End - unfortunately East West do not possess the publishing rights to release this as a single and the B-side to Suggs' release will be other tracks from the soundtrack album.

Sinead O'Connor On Board For Chieftains Album

The spirit of Lilith Fair ventures into foreign lands on a new album from Irish folksters the Chieftains, as Sheryl Crow, Sinead O'Connor and Joan Osborne, among others, have signed-up for guest appearances on the record. Entitled "Tears of Stone," the new album from the Chieftains et al. is due out at the end of the year, and features the band backing a range of female vocalists, including Crow, Joni Mitchell, O'Connor, the Corrs and Osborne on a variety of traditional and contemporary songs. The mixture of folk music and rock vocals is not an altogether new experience for the Chieftains, who in 1995 recorded songs with Sting, the Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler and O'Connor for the album "Long Black Veil."

New bootleg released

A new bootleg (or better said; Pirat) got released, it's entitled "Singles" and is made in Bulgaria, infact this is even more illegal then a regular bootleg because it contains material that can/could be obtained officially (compared with live concert-songs on standard bootlegs) Besides that it's a nice bootleg and very hard to find.

Tracks are; NothingCompares 2 U / Fire On Babylon / Jerusalem/ I Want Your (Hands On Me)/ The Emperor's New Clothes / Thank You For Hearing Me / Don't cry For Me Argentina/ Success has made A Failure Of Our Home / Famine ( 7" edit version) / I want to be loved by you /Mandinka / Three babies / All apolgies / + Bonus tracks: House of the rising sun / Streets of London
