Fleadh on UK-VH-1

just to let you all know the (london) fleadh is to be broadcast on VH-1 on Thursday night 9pm-11pm (UK time) 1. I have no idea if sinead is on it but you never know .

Afterward; Sinead did NOT appear on the VH1 special last night much to my HUGE disappointment. She was the only major act to not be included. Others who are unheard of even had a song shown, Billy Bragg was awful (imho) and yet they played THREE of his songs. But no Sinead. Not even a mention of her!

2nd Avengers OST ???

A gentleman at Gordon's fave local record shop said he read somewhere (and he shuffled looking for his source material but couldn't find it) that they were going to be releasing a 2nd Avengers soundtrack with Emma's Song.

Sinead in Dave Steward online-tv

http://www.davestewart.com

Former Eurythmic Dave Stewart is not only launching a new album this month, but an Internet-only "TV" show as well called "Sly-Fi TV." This monthly series debuts on Aug 24 and features rare and exclusive footage of a rotating cast of Dave's friends. The first episode features: Natalie Imbruglia, Bob Dylan, Jon Bon Jovi, Isabella Rosalini, Kevin Spacey, Demi Moore, Sinead O'Connor, Gina Gershon, Lou Reed, Annie Lennox, Bootsy Collins, Aretha Franklin.

A FREE video copy of "Sly-Fi TV" will be given to the first 1000 people to order "Sly-Fi", Dave's new album, online. The video is not available in stores.

All in all Sinead's part lasts about 1 minute, it's a weird clip, not really clear-view and speeded up sound. In this part you might recognize the songs; Sweet Violets and Little Doggy

There is a little doggy sitting on my footsole
and it smells like a doggy's ass
and that is not the smell of Elizabeth Arden

Sinead 's Rehearsal sessions

You remember certainly that Sinead came last year in france to give an interview to the Channel CANAL+, and she sang "This is a rebel song" ( the video is also available on http://www.mygale.org/02/autin.sinead.htm) . This afternoon a friend of mine who works in Radio France and who has a lot of friends working in Canal+ confirm to me that during the afternoon of this french show ( 30th october 97) Sinead sang for the rehearsal about one hour concert to do the balance for the sound. This has been recorded( image and sound) but unhappily , the copyrights belongs to Canal+ , so we'll never see anything unless one of you has a lot of power or is smenon'e son or daughter of a very famous people who knows the boss of Canal + ;-))

John Lennon Tribute Album

DAVID BOWIE has contributed a track towards a planned JOHN LENNON tribute album to be released by Capitol Records. Up to now David Bowie ("Mother"), Sinead O'Connor ("Mind Games"), Paula Cole ("Working Class Hero") and Everclear ("Instant Karma") have been included, with other artists still at the negotiation table. Proceeds from the album will be donated to the AIDS/HIV-related charity AmFAR.

Knowing this message is an old message from the Bowie pages from July 11th, and knowing no record-company knows anything about it, it might be a mix up with the coming Red, Hot & Rhapsody album.

Again.....new Sinead cover song

Since we already know that Sinead O'Connor's Lord doesn't live anywhere near the Vatican, it's only fitting that she cover the Harry Nilsson classic "I Guess the Lord Must Be in New York City" for the upcoming soundtrack to the Warner Bros film "You've Got Mail"

In addition to O'Connor's take on Nilsson, the Atlantic Records soundtrack also features three songs by the late Nilsson himself, "Over the Rainbow," "Remember (Christmas)," and "The Puppy Song," as well as songs by Roy Orbison ("Dream"), Stevie Wonder ("Sign, Sealed, Delivered"), Louie Armstong ("The Dummy Song"), Bobby Darin ("Splish Splash"), and Peggy Lee ("The Best is Yet to Come") The soundtrack is scheduled for release on Nov.

O'Connor is currently writing songs for her Atlantic Records debut, with whom she signed an exclusive, long-term contract earlier this year. The album is due sometime in 1999 (allstar, July 8)
