Poland, Katowice, june 29th

Setlist; UNKNOWN

Katowice is an industrial town in Poland but has a very large circular sports hall. The Screaming Orphans played a support slot and put in a fine performance. They are much more in their element as their own band than as backing singers( the four girls are sisters) and played five songs which went down well with an appreciative audience of about 1500 people. They have recently signed a publishing deal and will be supporting Sinead throughout the States in August as well as in Dublin. Worth arriving early to see. By the time Sinead came on stage the audience had filled up to about 5000 people (even without a lot of advertisement), all in a great mood and determined to have a good time. The set was good but unremarkable, possibly due to the fact that two members of the band had had to seek medical attention over illness and injury respectively that day, but there was a new sound system in place for this gig and the sound was very clear ( considering the size of the space).
